What the score means
An automated screening score and a ScamShield certification are different. A website can receive a preliminary score without being certified.
Automated screening
Checks publicly observable technical and trust signals such as HTTPS, domain history, policies, contact information and reputation data. Missing evidence can make an assessment incomplete.
Human evidence review
Certification requires identity and business evidence to be reviewed by a person. A high automated score alone does not earn a badge.
Conflicts and corrections
ScamShield does not treat its own automated score as independent certification. Businesses may submit corrections, and active certifications can be suspended or withdrawn when evidence changes.
